Recessed counters, angular Dauphine hands with Super-LumiNova®, and a bold curved tonneau case reflect a design language rooted in heritage but shaped by modern restraint. Every detail, from the custom pushers to the bespoke typeface, speaks to refined British design and swap quiet confidence for elegance.

Two distinct finishes create visual richness across the dial: a sunburst satin-brushed base that radiates outward, and circular-brushed subdials that subtly break the texture with contrast. This refined duality adds clarity and distinction to the layout, rewarding close inspection with thoughtful detail.

The recessed subdials sit subtly below the main dial, creating a calm sense of visual hierarchy. Achieving the dial’s dual brushed finishes, the fine sunburst and precise circular textures, demanded extensive testing and refinement during production. This technical challenge resulted in a dial that balances complexity with clarity.

Defined by its curved, elongated form, the tonneau case brings distinctive presence to the wrist without sacrificing comfort. Its sculpted silhouette blends vintage inspiration with contemporary restraint, making it a signature of enduring style.

The sharp, faceted lines of the Dauphine hands reflect a heritage of mid-century watchmaking, updated here with a refined finish. Coated with Japanese Super-LumiNova®, they ensure visibility in low light, balancing elegance with practicality, day or night.

The Diplomat’s hybrid movement delivers the crisp mechanical action of a traditional chronograph, paired with custom pushers shaped to complement the tonneau case. Each press offers a tactile response, enhancing the interaction with the mechanical chronograph function, while the movement’s quartz ensures reliable power and precise timekeeping without the need for winding.

Every index is applied by hand, giving the dial dimensionality and elegance. Most distinctively, the custom typeface is inspired by the World Time Clock situated opposite the original Swan & Edgar store at Piccadilly Circus, reflecting the brand’s London heritage. A quiet but powerful tribute.
